Congrats, Helen!

Kate, wearin' my pimptastic hat (but it might get blown off by the twisters in the area). The DD had two doctor's appointments today. Was reading HIH. And giggling. And reading parts out loud, to much eye rolling by the DD. Had a nurse and two patients ask about the book. Hope they go buy it! Wanna see you on somebody's Best Seller list!

Oh dear, Silver! I love that hat of yours! *g* Hope those twisters didn't come anywhere near you.

You are truly La Queen de la Pimpalot!! LOL on DD's eye rolling. I get that a lot from the DH and others, too. :-)

Congratulations on your debut and your beautiful website, Kate. I didn't know how else to get a hold of you to request a tiny change on your Books page -- it has my title as Bookmarked for Murder, when the title is actually Bookmarked for DEATH.

Again, congrats. Can't wait to read your next book!

Kate, I figure you are still basking in the kudos, but wanted to let you know I finished HiH and put my thoughts about the book over on my blog, Penumbra. I hope it's been a great debut for you! FYI? I loved the book!

Got my copies in the mail from Amazon yesterday (wasn't expecting a delivery on Presidents' Day). I ordered four so I can give three away! Am starting it later today - so excited for you!

Just wanted to tell everyone I'm brimming with happiness because of how well the book's selling (according to my editor), so if I sound super-extra peppy perky *g*, that's why. Plus a little extra caffeine this afternoon, maybe. :-)

I'm waiting to see your name break a Best Seller list somewhere, Kate! I really think this book has the potential. All teasing and kidding aside, you are a very talented writer and I hope this is the first of many for you!

Hey there Kate,

My sister (a book junkie and amateur bookbinder) just loaned me your book. I found the first paragraph so intriguing, I couldn't put it down until I had finished the entire book! It was fascinating and fun, and I can't wait for more glimpses into the world of Brooklyn Wainwright.

Your loving description of these leatherbound treasures gave me such joy, I was reminded of Helene Hanff's affectionate detailing of her library of books in "84 Charing Cross Road." I felt all warm and fuzzy inside.

Thank you for such a wonderful read!
